1. Repentance and forgiveness go hand in hand; you cannot have one without the other - (Luke 24:47) “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem”.
2. Repentance is unto seeking the salvation of God’s elect = love - (2 Tim 1:10) “Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory”.
3. Repentance is God’s to give to whom He pleases through Jesus Christ the Lord - (Acts 5:31) “Him has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to GIVE repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins”.
4. Repentance is for all who ask - (Rom 10:13) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
