** Brother Scott Richardson was called home recently, he will be missed by very many brothers and sisters yet we rejoice that he stands perfected in HIM and has no more pain or sorrow or tears.
To our dear and beloved church family there in Fairmont; our condolences and hearts are with you at this time. From one little flock of sheep to another: Peace be unto you from our Lord Jesus Christ!
“For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face….” (I cor. 13:12). Right now our sweet brother Scott has a wonderful, clear, and pure sight of the Lord Jesus Christ! Once his eyes were dim now crystal clear and with such sight made perfect the worship of the ONE true love of our lives can be done with no interruptions and no hindrances. Glorious thought my brothers, amazing truth my sisters all I can think to say is: ‘Come quickly Lord Jesus, come quickly’.

People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Scott Richardson
The sovereignty of God is absolute. To acknowledge this truth is at once to acknowledge that God has foreordained whatsoever comes to pass; that nothing else can come to pass; that predestination is a fact; that God does rule in the kingdoms of men; that all human ties, bonds and relationships are divinely appointed and formed; that salvation rests solely, fully and only in God’s election; that salvation is by God’s grace and His grace alone; and that no part of man’s salvation is of himself either in origin or execution. Where men get the idea that man’s will is the all-determining factor or moving cause of his salvation is hard to see. Certainly they do not get it from the bible . SR
The believer is perfect in Christ, but in himself is a poor, feeble creature, ever liable to fall. Oh, the blessedness of having One who can manage all his affairs for him at the right hand of the Majesty in the Heavens: One who upholds him continually by the right hand of His righteousness: One who will never let him go: One who is able to save to the uttermost: One who is the same yesterday, today and forever: One who will bear him triumphantly through all the difficulties and dangers that surround him and finally, present him faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy. Blessed forever be the grace that has made such ample provision for all our sins in the Blood of a spotless victim and the intercession of a Divine High Priest. SR
(prior to my being called to preach to the sheep at Jackson summer 1991)..”Hello? brother Drew? Yes this is he….this is brother Scott, I just wanted to call and see how you where doing…. Ok I guess….You just hang in there brother and the Lord will give you strength and a message for those folk. (This was always on Sunday morning before I went to the church building).
(Invited to preach at Fairmont, early 1990’s also, very early in my pastorate). You come up here and we’ll wine and dine you and Melinda…..after we had a fine meal and headed home Saturday evening…..”you are real quite pastor, what’s wrong? I’m nervous about tomorrow Scott, I usually don’t preach to this many people at home. ‘well’ do you know Christ? Yes sir. Then just tell us what you know about Him and stick to that subject you know best”.
(At Lantana Grace church conference late 1990’s) ‘Scott says, some of us are going to eat after tonight’s services, you come with us and sit by me, you look as though you have something on your mind…. I do…..’tell me about it and maybe I can help, but remember this; as I answer you after the glory of Christ do that , if I answer you according to me, don’t do that’.
(thru-out the 2000’s) ‘Scott, this is Drew…….” ‘Remain faithful to Him, His word and to His people He has given you the responsibility to preach to, you do this and you’ll be alright’
(2 weeks ago). ‘Scott, it me Drew from Missouri, I just wanted to call and see how you are doing? “Ready to see my Lord”. I know it’s selfish to wish otherwise but I think I do understand. Thanks for all you have done for me and all the encouragements over time, I appreciate you and your message and glad we can worship our Redeemer together’. ‘Me too’.
Oh how good it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! We thank our Father for having the privilege of knowing such a servant as Scott Richardson, bending the knee together for the cause of honoring and glorifying the Sovereign and Merciful Lord Jesus Christ.
