“So Shall I Keep the Testimony of Your Mouth” (Ps 119:88)

“Quicken me after your lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of your mouth” (vs88).

Quickening is the way to do God’s will with power from God.  We are bound to obey, regardless of our feelings, but when quickened, then we DELIGHT in Him and get SUPERNATURAL power from above; He QUICKENS by the Spirit, so that we can overcome and conquer; He gives His STRENGTH by the word - “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God“ (Eph 3:17-19).

1.  Quickening comes by PRAYER and the word of God, as He speaks to us.  Jesus said, “It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). Sometimes, the book is open, and everything is received by us with fullness of joy. Other times, the MORE that we read, the worse that we feel, but we need the quickening still. So, pray in the hard times, and know in the good times that it wasn’t bible reading and prayer that saved you; it was the Lord BY bible reading and prayer, because these things, without the QUICKENING of God CANNOT encourage or save the soul; there must be supernatural power from above, so that we receive God’s word unto having the power and joy of obedience. This He gives.

2.  Do not trust in your feelings (bad or good) nor in your labors (bad or good), but trust the GRACE of God to freely give you life that you didn’t deserve through the blood, grace, and power of God - “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Rom 3:24).

3.  The Godhead is your Savior: the Father GIVES unto you eternal life, the promises, and the help of God. The Son EARNED your salvation and is why God BLESSES you freely, through the redemption that’s in Christ Jesus (Rom 3:24). The Holy Spirit is the POWER of God working in you to see, believe, and FEEL the blessed God. Acknowledge the Godhead, wait, and look, “For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened… If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him“ (Luke 11:10, 13). This is the daily bread that our souls need; this is why I write a daily article, so that you and I can be quickened of God, enabled with joy and power, and able to endure the cares of this life, the pain, and to CONQUER the barrenness and fears.  Be you quickened by BELIEVING God in your un-quickened estate, praying for, looking onto, and BELIEVING God.
