“The Earth is the Lord’s and the Fullness Thereof” (I Cor 10:23-26)
If it is legally sold in the market, then participate, if you are inclined. There is no holiness in meat and drink. Use moderation, and don’t inquire about people’s motives. Eat because it is legal, and enjoy yourself in this world because it is God’s. He put everything here, sanctifies it by His word, and it is for good, whether it be for the mind, body, or spirit.
“Not seeking my own profit but the profit of many, that they may be saved” (I Cor 10:27-33).
The Lord Jesus left us an example to follow. Live for God’s glory in doing people good, and you live the high life and the most enjoyable life before God. Nothing is higher than seeing others saved and living for people. So, if a man asks me to eat meat offered to a false god, in the name of any god but Jesus Christ, then I cannot - “But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that showed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof” (I Cor 10:28). I can eat freely whatever is legal, but I cannot give the indication that I worship a false god, even if I know he is nothing (I Cor 8:5-6). Have nothing to do with false religion and give no indication that you do, so that others can be saved. It is better to help them than to eat a meal. Live for Christ as Christ lived for God. Paul says, “Be you followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (I Cor 11:1)
