All Things Are Possible With God (Matt 19:10-29)

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Truly I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of god. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible (vs23-26).”

Salvation is ACCOMPLISHED by God. No man can give up his money or his righteousness, unless God brings you down to see that Christ is all. The Believer has seen the glory of God’s love, that though we are sinners, He gave us His Son to redeem us from sin. Then, we BELIEVE on His love, living for His glory, empowered by His goodness to us. There is only one motive that God accepts, and it is FROM the heart by faith; if we are not motivated by the grace we’ve received, then we cannot persevere, for we are SELF-SERVING and doing for gain. We must be thankful.

David said, “neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which does cost me nothing”, so that we must worship from a heart purified by faith (II Sam 24:24). I cannot stand in someone else’s forgiveness; I must SEE Christ in His glory before I can serve His glory and follow Him. God has power to REVEAL Himself in a way whereby His blood, experienced mercies, and His life painfully laid down motivates and powers us to do good. Until this happens, we can’t be saved. But, to those the Father gave Him, Christ REVEALS Himself as loving you in your corruptions unto the point of obedience.

His death, painful and violent, actually put away sins, so that God’s love is measured, not by what we deserve or how we feel, but by the cost of His Son and the value of God’s gift to us. Christ is measured not by our obedience, but by His loving DEVOTION to God on our behalf, whereby He put away sins in love for us. He served God unto death because He loves us, and if this is true, then no matter what happens today or tomorrow, we have God’s love stamped upon our every step for time and then eternity. This life’s sufferings are our light affliction, but His LOVE shall bring us to bliss.

We honor the gospel of a saving God. His mercy is on whom He wills and causes us to serve Him.
